  • JOB SUMMARY
    • Perform diagnostic cardiovascular procedures under the guidance and oversight of Department Manager and designated staff members. Studies didactic materials independently. Must be highly self motivated to learn. Prior to sitting for registry exams, will independently perform examinations per physician orders and according to department protocols, generate preliminary reports for physician interpretation, and review physician reports. Charts and charges procedures electronically. Collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure safe and effective patient care. Effectively interacts with patient and significant others, while maintaining professional standards. Interacts with Cardiologists and referring physicians according to applicable departmental policies regarding critical findings. Interacts with team leaders and managers to discuss significant findings, clinical situations, workflow status and equipment malfunctions. Exhibits sound critical thinking skills. Works under direct supervision until deemed competent in a specific procedure. Must have outstanding work ethics and integrity.

    • Minimum Education
      • High School Diploma
    • Minimum Work Experience
      • 1 year patient care experience or training in related field
    • Required Licenses/Certifications
      • EKG Hospital-based training program upon completion of Orientation
      • BLS within 1 month of hire
    • Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
      • Hands on training and coaching will be available
      • Didactic education requires self study
      • Master use of all applicable equipment
      • Maintain equipment and testing rooms
      • Multiple computer programs will be used daily
      • interact with patients and customers as well as co-workers and physicians
      • Attends all required training programs and completes computer based learning lessons
      • Strong motivation and excellent self learning skills are required for this position
