Litigation Associate Attorney &- Construction & Commercial Litigation

Austin, Texas | On-Site Position

A highly regarded law firm in Austin is seeking a talented Litigation Associate Attorney with 3&-5 years of experience to join its growing litigation practice. This position offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated construction and commercial litigation matters alongside accomplished attorneys in a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment.

Qualifications

  • J.D. from a top-tier law school

  • 3&-5 years of litigation experience

  • Experience handling construction law and construction-related disputes

  • Strong background in general commercial litigation

  • Prior Big Law experience strongly preferred

  • Excellent legal research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills

  • Licensed and in good standing with the Texas State Bar

  • Must be located in the Austin, Texas area and able to work on-site

  • Remote candidates will not be considered

Responsibilities

  • Manage and support complex construction and commercial litigation matters

  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery requests/responses

  • Conduct legal research and prepare case strategy analyses

  • Participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials

  • Collaborate directly with partners and clients on case management and litigation strategy

  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive compensation structure consisting of a base salary plus quarterly performance bonuses

  • Associates are generally expected to bill approximately 140 hours per month

  • No formal billable-hour requirement

  • Quarterly bonuses are based on collections and include additional credit for client originations

  • Expected annual compensation for qualified candidates ranges from $250,000&-$280,000 , depending on experience, billing, and collections

  • Unlimited upside potential with no cap on quarterly bonus earnings
