A postdoctoral training position is available in the laboratory of Keunwoo Ryu, Ph.D., in the Department of Cell Biology at UT Southwestern Medical Center to study the spatiotemporal regulation of cellular metabolism. The laboratoryhas several exciting projects that focus on how metabolic pathways are organized across molecular, organellar, and cellular scales. The laboratory is particularly interested in how enzyme clustering, mitochondrial heterogeneity, and inter-organelle interactions control metabolic flux and support cellular adaptation in physiological and disease contexts, including cancer.
The laboratory integrates advanced live-cell imaging, biochemical approaches, and metabolic flux analysis, with opportunities to incorporate structural biology (cryo-EM), proteomics, and computational analysis.
