Job Description:

Description: The Physical Therapy Assistant – Licensed executes medically prescribed plan of care under the supervision of Physical Therapists for patients in order to prevent illness and disability and restore function following and injury or illness.

Typical Duties:

  1. Executes medically prescribed plan of care for patients.

  2. Documents patient care and charges.

  3. Helps patients reach their maximum functional levels by utilizing techniques to improve physical health.

  4. Provides leadership and direction for support staff and Physical Therapist Assistant students.

  5. Participates in professional development and continuing education to insure compliance with licensure laws.

  6. Performs other related job duties as assigned.

Qualifications:


    Required Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant Program.

  • Required Licensure/Certification/Specialized Training:
  • Current licensure by Texas Board of Physical and Occupational Therapy Examiners.
