Duties and Responsibilities
Investigates and prepares bond documents.
Interviews inmates during jail intake regarding the inmates’ finances.
Reviews bond amounts set by courts using written guidelines.
Investigates and interviews arrestees to determine if they qualify for pre-trial release.
Reviews, tracks, and submits listings of all misdemeanor inmates who qualify for pretrial release but lack the ability to pay required fees.
Responds to queries regarding release through the pre-trial agency.
Investigates and prepares bond documents.
Reviews all bonds posted by other investigators.
Performs related work as assigned.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Requires a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
Requires six months of experience in social work, human resources, customer service, or closely related experience.
Physical demands refer to the requirements for physical exertion and coordination of limb and body movement.
Unavoidable hazards refer to the job conditions that may lead to injury or health hazards even though precautions have been taken.
The work is typically performed sitting at a desk or table or while intermittently sitting, standing, bending, crouching, or stooping. The employee occasionally lifts light and heavy objects.
The work is typically performed in an office.
