USPI North Houston Endoscopy & Surgery is seeking a motivated Assistant Materials Manager to join our team. We have 4 OR rooms and 2 treatment rooms. We perform outpatient surgical procedures in Colorectal, GI, Pain Management. Position requires weekdays only no holidays, weekends, or call. Some early mornings and later evenings may be required; schedule subject to change based on surgical schedule and flow of the day.

Job Summary: The Materials Manager Assistant is responsible in supporting the Materials Manager for all departmental functions in support of the hospital mission, vision and facility goals. The Materials Manager Assistant assists in identifying the cost-effective systems needed to support the business of the department taking into account business trends, resource availability and changes in customers. This position assists in establishing effective working relationships with all constituencies including patients, physicians, employees, and vendors. The Materials Manager Assistant further assists in identifies and remedies through continuous customer satisfaction data and employee involvement.

Required Skills:

Qualifications:

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Two years minimum receiving and inventory experience in a health care environment required
  • Knowledge of computer inventory managementsystems, various software programs and medical products.
  • Working knowledge of stocking and storing medical and non-medical supplies.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 40 pounds.
