The primary purpose of the Endoscopic Technologist position is to assist in the coordination of patient care activities for endoscopic procedures.

The ideal candidate will hold a high school diploma or equivalent and bring a minimum of one year of endoscopy experience or two years of healthcare experience. Experience working in endoscopy, gastrointestinal (GI), or colorectal is preferred.

The typical work schedule is Monday – Friday, 7:30 am – 4:00 pm

Salary Range
- Annual: $49,500 minimum – $62,000 midpoint – $74,500 maximum
- Hourly breakdown: minimum $23.80 – midpoint $29.81 – maximum $35.82

Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for the set-up, maintenance, cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization of all endoscopic, ultra-sound and laser equipment used in endoscopic procedures.
- Cleans and prepares procedure rooms.
- Assists the physician and registered nurse in caring for patients undergoing endoscopic procedures.
- Transports patients to appropriate locations.
- Creates and edits report templates to be generated by the physicians.
- Ensures dictated reports contain all pertinent information.
- Contributes to maintaining inventory of supplies to provide full service to endoscopy.
- Performs routine equipment maintenance.
- Participates in the continuous monitoring and quality improvement efforts.

EDUCATION
Required: High school diploma/equivalent.
Preferred: Graduation from a surgical technologist program.

EXPERIENCE
Required: One year of endoscopy experience or two years of healthcare experience. Certification from an approved endoscopy education program or graduation from a surgical technologist school may be substituted for the required experience.
Preferred: Experience working in endoscopy, gastrointestinal (GI), or colorectal is strongly preferred.

CERTIFICATION
Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
Preferred: None
