The role applies in-depth specialty knowledge in monitoring, assessing, analyzing, and evaluating credit risk across portfolios — with a specific focus on Wealth Wholesale Structured Products. This role integrates established disciplinary knowledge within credit risk management. The Sr. Analyst demonstrates good judgment in navigating risk scenarios, interacts cross-functionally with business partners, and contributes meaningfully to the overall risk governance framework.

Responsibilities

  • Support the preparation of portfolio discussions and monitoring activities for Wealth Wholesale Structured Products, including the development of materials for risk forum meetings, senior management reviews, and periodic portfolio monitoring.

  • Monitor and assess credit risk trends, concentrations, and emerging risks within the Wealth Wholesale Structured Products portfolio, providing timely and actionable insights to senior risk officers and business stakeholders.

  • Support the maintenance of credit risk monitoring frameworks, including supplemental monitoring metrics.

  • Interpret financial data, credit metrics, and portfolio analytics to support risk identification, assessment, and escalation processes.

  • Collect, organize, and maintain Manager's Control Assessment (MCA) evidence, ensuring documentation is complete, accurate, and aligned with internal control standards and regulatory expectations.

  • Assist in the execution of MCA testing activities, tracking control gaps, remediation actions, and evidence submissions in a timely and structured manner.

  • Maintain and keep up to date the team's project tracker, a project management tool shared with senior management that consolidates all ongoing projects and recurrent activities, including target dates, milestones, and status updates; ensure the tracker accurately reflects current progress and is a reliable reference for prioritization and senior management visibility.

  • Collaborate with Credit Officers, Product Managers, Risk Managers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on credit risk standards and portfolio management objectives.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience in credit risk management, portfolio risk analysis, financial analysis, or a related discipline within a financial institution; prior exposure to a risk oversight or control function is a plus.

  • Familiarity with Wealth Management or Wholesale Structured Products is an advantage, though candidates with broader credit risk or financial products experience will be considered.

  • Exposure to Manager's Control Assessment (MCA) processes, internal control documentation, or compliance/audit evidence collection is preferred; willingness to learn and develop expertise in this area is equally valued.

  • Experience maintaining project trackers, task logs, or similar organizational tools (e.g., Excel, SharePoint, or equivalent platforms); demonstrated ability to manage multiple workstreams, deadlines, and priorities simultaneously.

  • Foundational understanding of credit risk principles, financial analysis, and portfolio monitoring concepts; knowledge credit risk frameworks is a plus.

  • Ability to interpret financial data, credit metrics, and portfolio analytics to support risk identification and reporting.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation and reporting tools.

  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills.

  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently, take ownership of assigned tasks, and proactively flag issues or delays.

Education

  • Bachelor's/University degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field required.

  • Master's degree or professional certification is a plus.
