CITY OF KILLEEN POSITION DESCRIPTION
Intake Coordinator
This position initiates, processes, and maintains case findings legal documents, and correspondence, and to provide information and assistance to the public.
The employee will have the responsibility of:
Reviewing all citations and complaints to verify that offenses are Class C misdemeanors within the jurisdiction of the Municipal Court; consult with Prosecutor when necessary
Obtaining and reviewing crash reports, arrest records, and other documents necessary for processing violations
Consulting with the Prosecutor to determine subsequent offenses
Ensuring all violations entered have appropriate complaint verbiage and coordinate with Prosecuting when necessary to obtain correct verbiage
Filing complaints and jurats on all violations filed within one month of the violation date
Assisting the public in person, by mail/email and by telephone including retrieving information and files and providing complex information to defendants regarding their criminal court case

Required Minimum Qualifications
Education and Experience:
Graduation from high school or equivalent; and
Two (2) years prior work experience in clerical, secretarial, paralegal, or administrative work; or
Any equivalent combination of education and experience
Special Requirements:
Must have a valid Texas drivers license within ninety (90) days of hire
Must have a valid drivers license by date-of-hire
