The Sport Psychology Fellow works as part of an interdisciplinary team to provide mental and behavioral health services, applied sport and performance psychology support, and educational programming to Texas Tech student-athletes. Services are delivered on behalf of Texas Tech Athletics under the supervision of licensed psychologists and in accordance with Texas State Law. This position is a 12–24 month fellowship appointment.
  • Experience providing mental and behavioral health services in medical, rehabilitation, or comparable clinical settings.
  • Experience in identifying and treating a broad range of mental health concerns impacting athlete populations.
  • Demonstrated commitment to evidence-based practice and high ethical standards.
  • Strong skills in multidisciplinary collaboration, communication, and team-based healthcare delivery.
  • Experience with clinical outcome measurement and training within a scientist–practitioner model.
Doctorate in Counseling or Clinical Psychology, completion of APA Accredited Doctoral Internship by start date, and 2 years related experience and/or training.
