Position Description:
The Janitor is responsible for ensuring all areas of the facility such as but not limited to: maintenance, production, and
shipping, restrooms, lunchroom, driveways, parking areas and grounds surrounding the facility to ensure a safe work
environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
& Attend all scheduled safety, department, and company meetings as required.
& Follow and enforce company safety polices and safe work practices at all times to ensure safety of self and
others
& Maintain clean inside and outside work areas
o Empty barrel and trash containers
o Maintain office floors, restrooms, and breakrooms
o Perform other janitorial services as needed
& Operate equipment and tools for seasonal activities as necessary.
& Inventories cleaning supplies and notifies appropriate personnel when re-orders are needed, being mindful of
time allowance needed in ordering process.
& Immediately notify a supervisor for any equipment issues as occurrences happen.
Physical & Work Requirements:
& Time split between office environment and warehouse/plant or yard.
& Working in a yard or warehouse/plant within OSHA guidelines; conditions may be heated and/or unheated,
dusty and noisy; steel-toed boots required daily.
& Facility is a multiple shift operation. Must possess the ability to work a flexible schedule and be on-call at
various times including possible weekends and holidays.
& Job is performed under some temperature extremes
& Ability to stand, walk, or be mobile for up to 8 hours per shift
& Capable of ascending and descending material handling equipment
& Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and to push, pull, or carry up to 50 lbs.
& Wear proper PPE at all times (as described in company policy)
