POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Assists the Directors and Managers of Sourcing & Contracting in the day-to-day coordination, administration, oversight of procurement, sourcing, and contracting activities for University Health’s Procurement Department. Directs workflow and priorities for Contract Specialists, serves as the first escalation point for complex solicitations and negotiations, and ensures contracting compliance with University Health policy, applicable state/county procurement law, and Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) agreements. Partners with clinical Value Analysis, Finance, Legal, IT Security, and departments across the system to execute sourcing strategies, optimize total cost of ownership, and deliver timely, compliant contracts and purchasing outcomes that support safe, high-quality patient care.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, healthcare administration, public administration, finance, legal studies, or a related field is required; or eight years of directly related complex contracting, sourcing, procurement, or supply chain experience may be considered in lieu of degree. Minimum of three years of experience leading or coordinating sourcing, contracting, procurement, or solicitation activities in a healthcare, public-sector, government, higher education, or other highly regulated environment. Minimum of three years of experience developing specifications, scopes of work, RFPs, RFQs, RFIs, competitive solicitations, evaluation criteria, award recommendations, and related contract documentation. Demonstrated experience coordinating complex sourcing or contracting activities, working with internal stakeholders, communicating with suppliers, supporting negotiations, and ensuring compliance with applicable policies, procedures, and documentation requirements. Experience working with cross-functional partners such as Legal, Finance, IT Security, Value Analysis, Accounts Payable, clinical operations, executive leadership, end users, and suppliers. Certified Materials Resource Professional credential is preferred.
