The Warehouse Supervisor at Pacific Seafood is a key role on our Warehouse team supporting efforts to maximize productivity while minimizing costs to improve profitability and sustainability. This position involves maintaining a safe and compliant work environment, optimizing operational efficiency, and driving financial success and is ideal for someone who is a strong leader, adaptable, and a team player.
  1. Team Management and Operations Oversight:
    • Direct shift operation activities: build teams and assign accountability; provide appropriate feedback to team members.
    • Establish DOI's, goals, objectives, and measurement criteria for personnel.
    • Prioritize production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply. Ensure all product orders are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
    • Monitor productivity. Create strategic plans to improve and refine operations to improve efficiency.
    • Ensure crew is properly balanced in work areas/line to achieve maximum productivity and error-free performance.
    • Develop and manage crew schedules to ensure efficient operations. Maintain vacation schedule coverage and planning.
    • Monitor attendance, overtime, and equipment efficiency to ensure compliance with company policies and all government regulations.
    • Develop and manage cross-training programs to improve production and warehouse flexibility.
    • Oversee physical inventories and cycle counts.
    • Expense management and asset protection.
  2. Recieving
    • Oversee inbound receiving activities to ensure all product is unloaded, verified, and processed accurately and efficiently.
    • Direct receiving team operations, assign workload, and monitor productivity to meet operational goals and timelines.
    • Ensure all receipts align with purchase orders, vendor documentation, and system transactions.
    • Partner with Quality Assurance and Inventory teams to resolve discrepancies, damages, and shortages in a timely manner.
    • Coordinate inbound schedules with Purchasing and Operations to support warehouse flow, product availability, and overall efficiency.
  3. Order Selection and Truck Loading Management:
    • Manage the productivity and accuracy of all order selection in fresh, cooler, and freezer. Ensure product build-in, order pull quality, efficiency, and productivity.
    • Oversee and maintain truck loading and unloading standards. Ensure trucks are loaded in correct sequence and in a manner that is accurate and efficient for the drivers.
    • Identify customer product requirements. Communicate with the team and ensure requirements are met.
  4. Safety and Compliance Oversight:
    • Ensure the warehouse configuration is maintained and products are properly slotted.
    • Ensure HACCP, SSOP, and all other hygiene and safety regulations or standards are met.
    • Oversee safety for the crew at all times. Maintain working knowledge of safety program requirements and ensure adherence.
    • Identify, develop, and utilize a new hire trainer or trainers to educate new team members on how to perform their job accurately.
Additional responsibilities may be assigned as deemed necessary to support the overall goals and objectives of the position.
