The successful candidates will teach courses across agricultural sciences, with a primary emphasis in animal science. Primary responsibilities include: Teaching a combination of undergraduate introductory agricultural science courses and undergraduate/graduate animal science courses (e.g., basic animal science, animal nutrition, anatomy and physiology, reproduction, genetics, range management, disaster management, animal welfare or livestock production systems, depending on expertise and departmental need). Coordinating and delivering laboratory sections at university-operated facilities, including live-animal instruction where appropriate. Supporting interdisciplinary teaching across agricultural sub-disciplines. Advising and mentoring students, including serving as pre-vet advisor. Participating in departmental and university service. The typical teaching load is 4/4 (100%), with expectations for high-impact teaching practices, student engagement, and continuous instructional improvement. Required Qualifications Earned MS in Animal Science, Agricultural Sciences, or closely related field. Demonstrated commitment to excellence in undergraduate education. Ability to teach foundational agricultural sciences courses. Demonstrated experience mentoring others. Preferred Qualifications PhD in Animal Science, Agricultural Sciences or closely related field (ABD considered; degree must be completed by start date). Experience teaching both animal science and general agricultural sciences courses as the instructor of record. Experience with applied or experiential learning environments. Interest in curriculum development and program growth. Demonstrated ability to teach diverse student populations.
