| Job Description | This is a grant funded position. Continuation of this position is contingent upon grant funding. Reports to the Director of Upward Bound San Marcos program. The Upward Bound Grant Specialist assists with the academic achievement and pursuit of post- secondary education enrollment for program participants. Position located at three target schools (San Marcos, Kyle, Seguin) and at the Texas State Campus in San Marcos. Evening and weekend work required. |

Assist with completing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) needs assessments and LASSI’s annually for new and continuing participants. Assist with monitoring student grades and tracking academic progress. Assist with after school tutoring, Saturday Sessions, and Summer Program. Provide college admission and financial aid process information. Support recently graduated seniors as they transition to postsecondary education. Assist with the documentation of services provided, tracking, and reporting. Assist with pre and post evaluations for participants and parents/guardians. Monitor outcome objectives, collect data, and assist in preparing annual performance reports/other reports as assigned. Develop and maintain professional outreach networks within target area communities and schools, serving as a liaison and point of contact as needed. Participate in professional development opportunities to promote personal and professional growth. Conduct other duties as assigned.
