Responsibilities Job Summary: As a Maintenance Planning Specialist, you'll plan, schedule, and coordinate manpower resources, parts, material, and equipment access in support of maintenance functions. You'll provide maintenance planning support to ensure reliability of facilities and processes, including optimizing maintenance processes, satisfying safety concerns, and providing a short- and long-range planning perspective that considers People, facility, equipment, and supplies. Key Responsibilities & Essential Functions: Scheduling / Maintenance: Leads weekly maintenance scheduling meeting with the Foremen and Team Leaders Prioritizes timing of routine maintenance; recommends schedules to maintenance leader; recommends required kit parts, tools, and equipment to ensure availability; publishes daily / weekly maintenance priority planned work lists Schedules preventative maintenance tasks based on equipment and labor availability Coordinates with Operations Leaders on equipment scheduling and availability for maintenance Organizes future planned shutdown events with Technology Leader, Team Leaders, Foremen, Asset Management, contractors, and Manufacturing / Warehouse supervision Works with Asset Management team on stock item list and appropriate inventory levels for minimum / order / maximum quantities to ensure identification of adequate spare parts inventory Prepares daily Maintenance Scorecard for facility meetings Develops reference systems (e.g., planned job packages for recurring jobs, organized equipment documentation library) Collaborates with maintenance leaders to create, maintain, and revise preventative maintenance specifications, corrective procedures, and SOPs Tracks PM / CM completion rates against target metrics Develops / maintains a work order backlog report Reviews equipment history for maintenance trends; identifies recurring maintenance problems; recommends improvements Perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and regulations Perform other duties as necessary Ensures all equipment is set up in asset management system; ensures appropriate preventative maintenance setup at appropriate intervals Collects / prepares / edits new equipment-related data; enters it into EAM database The responsibilities and essential functions outlined above describe the general nature and level of work assigned to this position. Qualifications & Key Requirements: Work Experience: 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance - Required Experience working with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) (Infor EAM preferred) - Preferred Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Strong industrial maintenance knowledge - Required Working knowledge of CMMS, preferably Infor EAM, or the ability to quickly learn the system - Required Strong understanding of maintenance planning activities and strategies - Required Strong collaboration, communication, and interpersonal skills - Required Intermediate computer skills; proficiency in MS Office applications - Required Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate clearly in English (required) - Required Ability to manage multiple priorities - Required Ability to work independently; a self-starter - Required Education: Bachelor’s Degree Mechanical or electrical engineering OR 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance - Required Licenses/Certifications: Physical Demands & Working Conditions: Stand / walk for 90% of shift Travel by car or plane with overnight stays Regularly lift up to 50 lbs Work extended hours, including occasional weekends or nights to support projects Maneuver through the facility and perform job functions with or without accommodation; stand, stoop, bend, etc. Work in wet, cold, or hot environments (temperatures may range from 30 to 100 degrees F, depending on work location) The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those a Partner encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
